Happy to start the new year with an exciting announcement that our project N_O_W_H_E_R_E has been selected to receive support from the Creative Industries Fund NL under their Open Call for Exceptional Presentations!
With this grant, the fund calls on presentation institutions, exhibition places, museums or new initiatives to come up with a proposal for the development of a distinctive presentation to show the qualities and significance of contemporary architecture, design and digital culture to the public. The fund aims to enable a number of distinctive, daring or ambitious public presentations every year.
N_O_W_H_E_R_E is a large-scale, exhibition installation in which the works of the Dutch artist/photographer Frank van der Salm are central. Along with Nederlands Fotomuseum (partner and venue) and Frank van der Salm (author) we are closely collaborating with the University of Amsterdam, architect Winy Maas, graphic designer Irma Boom and others to question the quality of the urban area and architecture (on which Van der Salm comments with his works) and introduce and question the meaning of AI for the arts, both for a general and a specialist audience.
